The Craftable Waypoints mod is an excellent resource for quick and easy waypoints that won’t break the bank in materials. It offers another use for string if you happen to have an excess of it and is super easy to use. All you have to do is craft one and right click it wherever you want to mark a spot.

Of course this wouldn’t be a beneficial mod if they all said “Waypoint” as markings. So if you craft an anvil you can cheaply rename each point to your desire.

The waypoints can also be color coded by adding any dyes in the game after crafting the point.

And if you no longer need that point then you can shift+left click the point to break it. It’ll retain its properties so you won’t need to rename a new point and you can simply reuse the old one.

You can even see this point at very great distances so never fear trekking too far from home. It’ll even show you how far away you are from each point you create.

This a great and simple way to mark your travels if you are looking for a light waypoint mod to add to your game. It’s perfect for early game marking when you don’t have too many ways back to your home bases as well as for more hardcore survival playing.
