The Spirit of Christmas mod is a great way to get into the Christmas mood within Minecraft. Everything from gifts and ornaments to new mobs and a winter dimension, this mod has your Christmas needs covered. |
The Quintessential Creatures mod adds a few new exotic mobs to the game. Many can be found in large bodies of water but others can be seen wandering various biomes. Possibly the most adorable of the new creatures is the Octopus. You’re already accustomed to Minecraft’s squid but now you’ll encounter a similar creature only with eight tentacles. They’re pretty harmless but will spray ink when attacked.

The Craftable Waypoints mod is an excellent resource for quick and easy waypoints that won’t break the bank in materials. It offers another use for string if you happen to have an excess of it and is super easy to use. All you have to do is craft one and right click it wherever you want to mark a spot. |
Halloween is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate than with pumpkin carving! |
The Vending block is a simple tool to aid in unassisted trading of items in Minecraft. It works excellent in multiplayer servers and acts as a replacement for villager merchant systems. It works just as its name suggests and vends items for currency. It can also tailer to your environment by changing the base to whatever block type you choose. |
The Bacteria mod is both a fun but equally useful and destructive mod. It’s as simple as the name suggests, it introduces bacteria to Minecraft. This could mean good or nefarious things but fortunately the bacteria is controllable if you know what to do. |
The Sophisticated Wolves mod aims to give wolves, and subsequently tamed dogs, better abilities in the game. It gives them a better sense of their surroundings so they are not completely dependent upon their owner. So that means while you may have tamed a wolf, it can still function in the environment without you and without you commanding them to just sit out of harm’s way. |
The GLSL Shaders mod is a simple thing. For people who become bored with the flat and unrealistic shades, shadows and other lighting effects in Minecraft, a mod like this is the perfect addition to the game. Not only does it allow for truly smooth lighting, shadows that reflect the shape creating them and other helpful effects, but it is also easy to install and compatible with a lot of other mods. You won’t understand what a big deal the compatibility is unless you’ve been modding Minecraft for a long time. Many mods can totally break the game when you try to use them in tandem, so this is a nice touch. |
Some mods will make no sense to a player who hasn’t in the past tried the source materials the mod was based upon. For instance, the Continuum Shader mod is actually an addition for another mod, Cody Darr’s Shaderpack, or SEUS. If you haven’t tried SEUS before, you probably won’t understand Continnum shaders, but besides that, Continuum won’t do anything for you. This add-on improves some features of the original shader mod, and it also increases the demands on your computer and its resources when it comes to rendering graphics and creating the light and shadow effects. |
If you’re a fan of Star Wars you’ll know the importance of droids. With this mod you can finally have them at your disposal. These are indeed the droids you’re looking for.
